About Magenta Sunshine
Magenta Sunshine encompasses a wide stratum of Asheville, NC-based musicians and artists. The group has gained popularity for high-energy live performances and is known for incorporating elements of rock, jazz, and world music into through-composed compositions. Described as, "electrifying and elegant”. Magenta Sunshine will release their newest LP, entitled “CLARITY” which introduces the listener to an evolution of musical style and sound– a sound that honors the past while leading us into the future. This shape-shifting project is built around the songwriting of singer/guitarist David Morris Einzig. Already in 2026 Magenta Sunshine has completed their follow up record to 2024’s self-produced “Serendipity”. The upcoming LP, CLARITY was recorded and produced by Keenan McRae (H.E.R, Donald Harrison) between the cities of Asheville and New Orleans. Featuring an all-star lineup: Oliver Snow on bass, Jerome Widenhouse IV on flugelhorn, Micah Thomas on drums and percussion, Logan Jayne on drums, Kendra Warren on trombone and vocals, Dylan Hannan on saxophone and flute, Andriu “Yano” Yanovski on keys/synthesizer and Brian Roy Haas on piano/fender rhodes. The band will continue to release one single every month through the summer of 2026.
